Summary:

This project aims at interpreting migration phenomena and socio-cultural transformations that leads to new cultural identities (concept of creolisation). It involves performing arts, methodological sets in social sciences and humanities. It works on the diverse theatrical background (negotiation of expressive codes, practices and meanings. It aims at developing new conceptual tools and an integrated analytic framework to indicate potentialities of a creolised approach to a better grasping of intercultural dynamics.

Playing Identities will deliver a Creole Performance Cycle, the circulation of Mrozek’s play Emigranci, symposia, and scientific publications.
